2017 comes on the heels 2016, a year that delivered quality Hip Hop music. Kanye’s “Life of Pablo”, Chance’s “Coloring Book” ,and J. Cole’s late drop of “For Your Eyez Only”, made 2016 one of good vibes.

But in our era of oversharing … we want more! More music, more anthems, more tweetables, and more Instagram captions.

Some artist are in higher demand than others for sure, let’s take a look at the top 5 most wanted albums for 2017:

Chance the Rapper – Chance had an amazing year in 2016, releasing a mixtape (not an album) that earned him a Grammy nom, a chance to perform on SNL and a visit to the White House. Still an independent artist, Chance has freedom to do what he wants and still remain stay true to himself, something people want more of in 2017!

Kendrick Lamar & J Cole collaboration – Collaboration between these two has been rumored for some time now. The loyal fans of both artists are growing impatient, but with two conscious and brilliant artist I am sure they will take their time and not disappoint.

Drake & Kanye – Another rumored and slightly confirmed collab, would be sure to yield huge summer anthems. Drake, never one to not hit the top of the charts, and Kanye’s creative genius should hopefully be a meeting of the minds that we won’t forget.

Jay Z – Let’s be honest, people always want a Jay Z album. It’s been almost 4 years since “Magna Carta Holy Grail” and there are rumors that he signed some kind of deal, so hopefully music is soon to come. Of course Jay Z doesn’t have to make another album ever again if he doesn’t want to, but what about what the people want?

Outkast – Last but certainly not least, the album we all want every year since 2003, a new Outkast album. Since their joint release of Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, fans have been begging for more. Big Boi has had other projects, but Andre 3000 has only lent us his words as features on other hit songs. Maybe Andre will get inspired this year, maybe Big Boi can convince him, maybe the stars will align and Outkast will bless the Hip Hop world one last time.
