Wow! Just Wow! smh! Jeronimo Yanez, the officer that killed Philando Castile will receive $48,500 in lump sum to leave the Minneapolis police department.
During the time of Castile's killing Yanez was making $72,600 as an annual salary. Castile's uncle spoke on the officer getting paid leave and stated “He should be in jail. He’s like a fish that wiggled his way off a hook. Hopefully, he won’t be able to get a police job in the United States. Because he’s a poor example of a police officer.”
The city of Minneapolis released a statement saying that the "public will be best served" if Yanez is no longer a police officer in the community.
