Sad new in The Culture. Earle Hyman passed away on Friday at his home in New Jersey. Earle Hyman was best known for his role as Bill Cosby’s father, Russell Huxtable, on the Cosby Show and for his work on the cartoon “ThunderCats”. He was 91 years old. R.I.P
Russell Simmons is latest celebrity to be accused of sexual harassment. Model, Keri Claussen Khalighi, says Russell sexually assaulted her in 1991 when she was 17 years old. She also claims movie exec, Brett Ratner, was present during the assault and she asked him to help but he did nothing. Russell is denying the accusations and says everything that took place was consensual.
Nas is getting ready to expand his restaurant chain. “Sweet Chick” is already open in Manhattan, Brooklyn, New York City, and Los Angeles. Now the rapper is taking his business to his hometown Queens. “Sweet Chick” is known for its modern American comfort food with a Southern twist, signature cocktails, homemade desserts, live music.
Good news for Usher. Laura Helms $20 million herpes lawsuit has been dismissed. Laura claims the singer did not disclose his status before they unprotected sex. Her lawyer filed paperwork to dismiss the case but with “intent to refile” which means Usher isn’t completely out of the woods just yet. Plus he still has to deal with Ms. Quantasia.
Memba last week I told you all about Jennifer Hudson and her fiance (of 10 years) David Otunga were calling it quits. Well we are getting more details about the split. Word is, David is accusing Jennifer of carrying on a secret affair with singer/songwriter Mali Music. Jennifer is denying the allegations.
