Celebrate and enjoy Keynote Speaker: Mike Wiley – Actor, Playwright & Director at YMCA of Greater Charlotte as we commemorate and honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This event is not free – tickets are $45 each -purchase at the McCrorey YMCA Sales & Service Center. Limited tickets will also be available day of at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. The proceeds from this event will be used to provide youth and families in the northwest corridor with programs that will improve academic outcomes. Be on the lookout for giveaways and see some amazing exhibitors along with nationally known experts. Learn the trends in home and garden and get your entire home Projects Solved! Queen City Brewers Festival

Queen City Brewers Festival returns to The Fillmore on Saturday, February 4, 2017. QCBF is ACEing Autism-Charlotte’s annual winter fundraiser, bringing together the Charlotte-area’s breweries, brewpubs, craft beer focused restaurants, sponsors and enthusiasts to support ACEing Autism’s mission to serve more families in the Charlotte community affected by autism spectrum disorders. Each brewery and exhibitor offers a variety of its beer and food for guests to sample in an intimate setting. Live music, local artists and games will be on hand during each of the two tasting sessions: 1-4PM and 6-9PM. These tickets went on sale for $45 each on Dec. 1, 2016.
Go Dog Go!
When: April 7th to April 23rd
Where: Children’s Theater of Charlotte – 300 E. Seventh St. Charlotte, NC
Time: 12am to 12 am everyday
The beloved children’s book by P.D. Eastman comes to life on stage in a zany and action-packed adventure. These dogs are busy going to and fro, riding scooters, driving cars and zooming around the world on their way to a special party. This madcap, musical escapade will have little ones dancing in their seats and cheering “Go, Dog. Go!” This event is not free and ranges in price from $10 to $25. Need more info call: 704-973-2828.
Ultimate Step “Afrika” Event
When: March 3rd & March 4th
Time: 12am for both performances
Where: Children’s Theatre of Charlotte – 300 E. Seventh St. McColl Family Theater Charlotte, NC
Experience the world’s first professional company dedicated to stepping, an art form born from African-American fraternities and based in African traditions. The dancers use their bodies as instruments and their intricate kicks, stomps and rhythms mixed with spoken word. Age groups: Adults (18+), Kids (5-8), Teens (13-18), Tweens (9-12).
