Batflick’s Squad: How ‘Justice League’ Revamped Ben Affleck’s Image

While Ben Affleck has had an extensive career, it hasn’t always been the most positive of lineage.

Between being labeled a cheater, to having stints in rehab, Ben’s life has been kind of a rollercoaster, but something has changed in Birthday Boy Ben Affleck, and we’d like to say part of it has to do with being Batman.

Justice League is on its way for November 2017, and with previous gigs of Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Ben Affleck has seemed to change his image back to being both talented and courageous and has gotten back on a straight path. And though it’s reported that he is still drinking, we can’t imagine that Ben would be all that effective as Batman if he was still going overboard.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner‘s divorce was a sad one, and even though Ben went to rehab, it was what People’s sources called “just a little too late.” The pair has seemed to co-parent very well together since the situation occurred, and Garner even came to the defense in a 2016 interview, saying in Vanity Fair that  “We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny. She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation. Bad judgment? Yes. It’s not great for your kids for [a nanny] to disappear from their lives.”

Now Ben has found love again in Saturday Night Live’s producer Lindsay Shookus.

As for the Bat, Ben recently admitted that having to work with two directors for one film is “a little bit unorthodox,” as he’s quoted in Entertainment Weekly. He is referring to the departure of Zack Snyder, who left the film due to a family tragedy, and Joss Whedon, who’s primarily famous for Marvel movies, stepped in to finish the job.

EW notes that it’s unsure if the studio will continue with Ben after the standalone Batman film is released, but Ben shares that DC‘s movies are really starting to come together in the way that they have needed to for years. “This is a really nice time to work in DC. They’re hitting their stride. They’re getting it right. It’s starting to feel like it’s really working.”

With all of that in mind, we think Birthday Boy Ben is doing just fine!

If Amy Cooper were a jelly doughnut, she would be a ‘Sarcasm-filled Doughnut.’
