In 2016, police officer, Philip Brailsford, was involved in the death of 26-year old, Daniel Shaver, in a hotel shooting in Mesa, AZ.

Police responded to a report that someone was pointing a gun out of a hotel window and when the couple came out of their room, the officer immediately had them lay on the ground.

After giving several orders, Brailsford was attempting to bring Shaver into custody but during the process, Brailsford shot Shaver five times with an assault rifle after he seemed to be “reaching for a weapon”.

Brailsford was found not guilty of 2nd-degree murder and reckless manslaughter.

This footage played a large roll in the trial and was released to the public after the hearing came to a close.

Was justice served here?
