Sadly, she’s not.
With accessories comes great responsibility.
After Beyonce wore certain items that looked very ‘Black Panther’-esque, people were thinking that maybe the Queen would be on the album for the upcoming Marvel Movie that Kendrick Lamar has curated.
Unfortunately, when Kendrick Lamar released the tracklist, Beyonce was not included, shattering our hopes and dreams.
The artists included, however, are pretty awesome.
Kendrick Lamar (obviously), SZA, Schoolboy Q, 2 Chains, Saudi, Khalid, Swae Lee, Vince Staples, Yungen Blackrock, Jorja Smith, Sob x RBE, Ab-Soul, Anderson .Paak, and James Blake, are all in the front half of the album.
The back half contains Jay Rock, Future, Zacari, Babes Wodumo, Mozzy, Sjava, Reason, Travis Scott, and The Weeknd.
There’s still that sliver of a chance that Beyonce will still somehow end up in the film’s score, but not be on the actual album. That’s happened in film occasionally (the best example I can come up with off the top of my head is Radiohead’s “15 Step” being in ‘Twilight’ but not on the soundtrack – I’m embarassed that’s the best example I have), but one could hope that we will be able to get some grace touched from the Queen Bey.
Amy Cooper is one with the force and the force is with her.
