In the hood hollering FREEEEE MEEEEK!!
Prayers have been answered and rapper Meek Mill is finally a free man. Meek Mill has spent the last 5 months in jail because he violated his probation. The Supreme Court of Philadelphia overruled Brinkley's decision to not release the rapper from jail. Now what makes Meek's case so controversial is how the legal system treated the rapper at the time of his arrest. At the time of the arrest, police officers stated that Meek Mill pulled out a gun, ran away, and refused arrest however, a police officer who was there signed an affidavit stating that Meek never did any of that. The 'Dreams and Nightmares' rapper also did an interview to set records straight where he states that he was beaten by corrupt police officers to the point where he fell unconscious multiple times. Philadelphia Judge Genece Brinkley was there from the beginning and some say that she had it out for Meek because she gave him such a harsh sentence. Unfortunately, Brinkely is not removing herself from the case because she thinks she was fair from the start and that she doesn't have any ill feelings towards the rapper. After Meek was released social media outlets went into a firestorm with love and support for the rapper. Meek Mill also took to his social media to thank everyone for their endless love and support. Now that he's released from jail Meek is planning on doing whatever it takes to make sure that whatever happened to him never happens to anyone.
