A new biopic on the life of Whitney Houston is coming very soon!The new documentary will be called ‘Whitney’ and it will be in theaters on July 6th of this year. Like all biopics it will show the singer’s life and career through the eyes of her family, friends, and those who worked with her in the industry. The documentary will be produced by Lightbox and Lisa Erspamer Entertainment and it will include previously unreleased recordings, never-before-seen home movie footage, and live performances recorded by Houston at various stages her life, as well as original studio recordings, acapellas of some of her biggest hits. Whitney’s recording of “I Will Always Love You” won the 1994 GRAMMY Award® for Record of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female. Each year recordings that are at least 25 years old are reviewed by a special committee from all branches of the recording arts, with final approval by the Recording Academy's™ National Board of Trustees. With 25 new titles, the Hall, now in its 45th year, currently totals 1,063 recordings.
