I can remember a few years ago speaking to some high school students about college. They mentioned one of the reasons they didn’t apply was because they were unable to afford the application fee
Whether you believe it or not, it’s true. This is why I am excited about this week being college application week. Parents community colleges and universities in the state of SC are waiving application fees, so please encourage your babies to apply. There are a few FEMA affected counties that have extended this date to November 16, 2018, at 5 pm. I’m going to past those counties below. The information was courtesy of The News & Observer.
“The free application period will run through Nov. 16 at 5 p.m. for students from 31 FEMA-designated counties, following widespread damage from Hurricane Florence. The counties are: Anson; Beaufort; Bladen; Brunswick; Carteret; Columbus; Craven; Cumberland; Duplin; Greene; Harnett; Hoke; Hyde; Johnston; Jones; Lee; Lenoir; Moore; New Hanover; Onslow; Orange; Pamlico; Pender; Pitt; Richmond; Robeson; Sampson; Scotland; Union; Wayne; and Wilson.”
