If you need to call emergency services, you may not be able to simply dial 9-1-1.

That’s because there is a major outage currently affecting the southeast.

According to WRAL, The North Carolina 911 Board has initiated communication to the areas affected and has urged cities to take proactive measures to keep citizens informed.

Technicians are trying to get the issue resolved as soon as possible.

In the meantime, residents are urged to call these numbers if 911 is not working:

MEDIC: 704-943-6200

CMPD: 704-336-6327

CFD: 704-336-3473
