NEW YORK, NY - JANUARY 22: A school bus heads down a snowy road in Brooklyn on the morning after a major winter storm blanketed much of New York City in 10 to 12 inches of snow on January 22, 2014 in New York City. While the storm caused major traffic and subway delays, New York City area schools were open on Wednesday morning. (Photo by Spencer Platt/Getty Images)

Parents of CMS students heard about the two hour delay scheduled for tomorrow, but now select schools in the district have opted to close their doors for the day instead.

The announcement comes after Winter Storm Diego left a trail of ice and snow across Charlotte.

The closings are due to ongoing issues related to the storm.

According to a tweet posted on WBTV’s Twitter account, several CMS schools are now closed on Tuesday, December 11.

Here is the list of school closures within the district:

If your child’s school is not on this list, please follow the protocol set forth by your child’s school for operating on a two hour delay.
