The Queen City is quickly becoming a hub for new and exciting cuisine.
Here is your guide for the most popular new restaurants in the Charlotte area.
The Virginia-based Skrimp Shack opened back in July 2018, and has been dubbed “The Five Guys of Fried Seafood.” Specializing in fried catfish sandwiches, Po’ Boys, and Skrimp, of course, Skrimp Shack is located in Pineville, NC.
Sweet Lew’s BBQ is the latest joint selling authentic NC BBQ. The restaurant opened back in December 2018, and you can find it in Charlotte’s Belmont Neighborhood.
Snooze, a Denver-based brunch spot, is opening 2019 in Plaza Midwood as the company’s first East coast location. Favorite items include Sweet Potato Pancakes, Sandwich I Am, and The Snooze Classic.
Another highly-anticipated BBQ spot, Noble Smoke, is supposed to become the official BBQ spot of the Carolinas. The restaurant is set to open in Spring 2019.
Capishe, an Italian restaurant in South End, opened back in 2018 to praise from Charlotteans. Menu favorites include rigatoni pasta, Margherita pizza, and Gelato to finish it off.
