Today (Mar. 31), 33-year-old Los Angeles rapper Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed. Several artists from the hip-hop community are currently mourning via social media. 

Drake shared a photo of Hussle on Instagram and wrote, “F***. My whole energy is just at a low right now hearing this. We just linked for the first time in years and said we were gonna do a new song this summer cause it had been too long. You were having the best run and I was so happy watching from distance fam nobody ever talks down on your name you were a real one to your people and to the rest of us. I’m only doing this here cause I want the world to know I saw you as a man of respect and a don. Rest easy my g.”

The Game shared a meme on Instagram saying, “If you love someone tell them now, and he wrote, “Just posted this when I woke up this morning because it was on my heart to do so…. not knowing, hours later my friend would be shot & killed in front of his own store. We just talked yesterday & laughed together about how lucky we were to make it out of a city where so many are lost before they can actually achieve anything in life… now look, a good man, a great rapper & amazing father taken from his family & this earth at 33 years old… SMFH at this one cause Lord knows nip was as GOOD of a human as I’ve ever known. R&B singer SZA shared her condolences to Lauren London on Instagram. She wrote, “MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS !!’ What a brilliant human ! Omg I can’t believe it!! You were SO KIND AND COOL!! HOW!! thank you for always speaking your TRUTH !!!! I’m so grateful for everything you’ve ever taught me and ppl like me from just watching you speak and listening to ur music . May God bless your spirit . sending INFINITE love to @laurenlondon and your family .i can’t believe this .”

Fans of the Victory Lap rapper and many others from the entertainment industry have took to social media to share their condolences and grief for the slain rapper.

Hussle was shot outside of his store, Marathon Clothing in Los Angeles. Two other people were wounded in the shooting.
