YBLA (Young Black Leadership Alliance)
YBLA was created to educate and develop young black leaders to have a positive impact in their community and beyond. We focus on helping our young people become leaders that are college and career ready. Our young leaders are trained to reach back and mentor elementary, middle and high school students as they achieve. We achieve this through Leadership, Service and Education.
John Martin is the CEO and Co-Founder of the Young Black Leadership Alliance (YBLA) in 2006, a non-profit organization focusing on leadership development, college preparation and career readiness for young black men. YBLA’s vision is to build leaders to positively impact their communities and beyond.
YBLA caters to the children of Charlotte and surrounding areas with a 3.0 GPA or better, and with over 300 wide leaders in the program.
YBLA spends a lot of time with many different after-school programs with their STEM based learning program.
