Meet Your Mango with National Mango Day Treats
Let the mango madness begin!
5,000 years ago, mangoes were first cultivated in India and now July 22nd is formally known as National Mango Day!
One thing I learned because I love mango so much is that they are NOT so easy to cut. So let me first start off by saying, if you plan on celebrating the holiday today and preparing your own mangos, click HERE to watch a simple video on how to cut your mango. (It will save you some trouble!) I 100% recommend just buying some pre-cut if you are not the best at cutting like me.
Now, here are some of my favorite mango recipes and treats below! Happy National Mango Day!
Mango Chicken: My mom would make me this recipe growing up. It’s a sweet and savory kind of meal served perfectly over some rice.
Classic Mango Smoothie: I love me a basic mango smoothie. If I am running out of time, I use the frozen mangos and some juice, but the fresher the better! This can be non-alcoholic or spike with a little rum.
Rum-Spiked Roasted Caramelized Mangos: These are perfect for impressing your guests or treating yourself to something a little saucy.
Mango Salsa: Get the chips ready because you are going to love you this salsa. It’s the best with fish tacos or a summer BBQ! You can make it yourself or purchase it at the store.
Made In Nature Organic Dried Mangos: These are nothing but mangos and I love them for a midday treat!
