Study: Millions Should Stop Taking Aspirin for Heart Health
Harvard researchers say that millions of people taking aspirin for heart health should stop.
Three studies conducted last year showed that a dose of aspirin isn’t necessary for maintaining heart health if you have never had a heart attack or stroke.
So how many people should stop taking aspirin? The over 29 million people over the age of 40 who are heart-healthy but are popping the pill thinking it’s doing their heart good. Harvard’s recent study showed that a significant number of heart-healthy aspirin takers suffered from digestive tract bleeding.
Interesting stuff. Stay healthy CLT!
