Ms. Jessica Teams Up with The Steve Smith Family Foundation

When you are tired, God will give you the energy needed to do the work HE has assigned you!

A couple weeks ago I was asked to find some kids for a very special opportunity. A back to school shopping spree with former Carolina Panther Steve Smith at Academy Sports & Outdoors. I got on the phone with my friends at A Child’s Place, Right Moves For Youth, Successful Start Learning Center, and The McCrorey YMCA and they helped me find some deserving youth.

Academy gave each kid $100, Steve doubled it bringing the total to $200 for each kid, and I purchased lunch for the kids.

As they shopped for shoes, clothes, and other items, Steve helped them find the best deals. (He is definitely a bargain shopper!) The kids had baskets full of stuff but the best part for me was the Smiles on each of their faces. They were so excited and appreciative! It took everything out of me not to cry. (but ima G so I kept it cool)

I have always admired Steve Smith's dedication to the youth in our community and I was honored to be apart of this special experience. Today is def one that will be added to my gratitude jar! ❤️❤️❤️
