Monica Bares All In New Instagram Photos Following Divorce
“New Beginnings Required Shedding It All. M.D.A.” singer Monica wrote on Instagram late Tuesday night (Nov. 5) as the caption of a photo where the singer bared all. “M.D.A.” are Monica’s initials, as her given name is Monica Denise Arnold.
It seems as if the “Commitment” singer is asserting herself as a newly free woman after divorcing her ex-husband, basketball player Shannon Brown.
Monica shared three photos of herself in which her back was slightly turned as she soaked up some sun amongst a few palm trees.
“Not much getting under my skin these days… I Get ahead of it or above it…. M.D.A. ….,” Monica wrote as the caption of the second photo she shared baring all.
“The journey is always easier when you hang on to your joy!” Monica said in the last photo that she shared.
As we previously reported, last month, Monica appeared at a Georgia courthouse where her union to Brown was formally dissolved in a process that took about 10 minutes. Monica showed up to court. However, Brown did not.
The former pair were married for almost a decade and they initially split back in March. Monica and Brown shared their six-year-old daughter Laiyah, and Monica also has two older sons from a previous relationship with rapper Rocko.
