Officer Ryan Winkeler of Dillon, SC was shot and killed at a SC regional airport in Florence around 8pm Sunday January 5. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division officials did locate and apprehend the suspect who was later identified as James Edward Bell. The shooting happened during a traffic stop at the airport and dozens of officers responded to the report of the shooting. It is unclear as to what lead to the shooting but all entrances and exits were closed due to the ongoing investigation. Condolences to the officer killed and his family. We ask that everyone pray for him in this time of mourning.
