Concord Mills Not Safe?
CHICAGO, IL - MAY 27: Crime scene tape is stretched around the front of a home where a man was shot on May 28, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois. Chicago police have added more than 1,000 officers to the streets over the Memorial Day weekend, hoping to put a dent in crime, during what is typically one of the more violent weekends of the year. In 2016, 6 people were killed and another 65 were wounded by gun violence over the Memorial Day weekend. (Photo by Scott Olson/Getty Images)
People in Charlotte and surrounding areas are now starting to wonder if Concord Mills is a safe place for people to shop after a 13 year old girl was shot and killed there last month and after an armed robbery took place there 2 weeks ago. Even though those crimes were highly publicized and brought a lot of attention to the mall for the wrong reason, things aren’t as bad as they may seem there at concord mills, according to the concord chief of police. Statistically Concord Mills is one of the safest places to be in the area. The hope is that these recent incidents won’t be a recurring thing and that they won’t drown out the fact that the mall is a safe place to be with your family and friends.
Do you think Concord Mills is safe?
