I’m sure somewhere there is someone pretty pissed because their Verizon phone may not be working properly.  A few of my friends were telling me that they were having problems with their phones and they are Verizon customers.

So there is a website called downdetector.com. I checked the site and whew! BABYYY the outage reporting spiked so high around 9am this morning, it was crazy! I get it! It seems like things are back working a lot better now, but whew! What would we have done. LOL. High Point Enterprise shared a statement from Verizon saying this.

“Verizon uses Charter Communications fiber lines to carry information between its cell sites and the core network in your area. This morning Charter made a change to its network which impacted a number of our cell sites. Charter is working quickly to fix this issue,” the Verizon spokeswoman said. “Each of our cell sites are connected to Verizon’s network via fiber optic cable. When fiber is already present, Verizon sometimes partners with that fiber provider to carry calls, text, and data over their network to our network. The disruption in service in this area is due to issues with Charter’s fiber network.”
