Kansas City Chiefs

It’s been 50 years since the Kansas City Chiefs won a super bowl title, but last week they earned the title and now everyone or just about everyone is celebrating in their own ways but one player is going above and beyond for his victory. The defensive tackle, Derrick Nnadi went to his local shelter in Kansas City, Missouri and offered to pay for the adoption fees for 38 dogs and 6 cats! The good storybook ending is now these animals have adopted into their forever homes for free and 30 more are expected to go to their new families within the next few days.

This isn’t the first time Nnadi has been involved with the shelter or animals. After every single win this season he would pay for the fee of one animal. The Chiefs won 15 times and when they made it to the super bowl he vowed that if they won he would pay the fee for all 109 animals in the shelter. For anybody in the Kansas City area, there’s still about 40 animals that qualify for Nnadi’s sponsorship this week.
