Jay Electronica recently took to social media to announce that his long-awaited debut album is finished. The New Orleans rapper stated that his album will be released next month.

The shocking announcement came via a series of tweets that he posted on Thursday (Feb. 6) revealing that he recorded the album over “40 days and 40 nights, starting from Dec. 26.” However, Electronica didn’t give a specific release date for the record.

Jay Electronica also shared that Jay-Z will be featured on the album, and that the album might be titled A Written Testimony. Electronica’s fans have been waiting for the rapper’s debut for over a decade, leaving some skeptical of the announcement.

However, Jay-Z liked Eletronica’s tweets, and producers Just Blaze and Young Guru co-signed Electronica’s announcement, as Hip-Hop N More notes.
