The 2020 NBA All Star game was a major success. The new format for the entire game made the game interesting from the 1st quarter until the 4th.  Whichever team scored the most points in each individual quarter their teams charity would get $100,000 for each quarter won.  Team Lebron won the 1st quarter team Giannis won the 2nd quarter and the third quarter was tied so therefore it would carry over into the 4th quarter, whoever won the 4th quarter that $100,000 would go to the charity for that team.  Another new format to the game was where the first 3 quarters would be regularly timed quarters but in the 4th quarter it is untimed and  whichever team has the most points at the end of the 3rd quarter you add 24 points (an ode to the number that Kobe Bryant wore) to that number and that’s the total score the teams have to reach in order to win the game.  Tonight Team Lebron won and Kawhi Leonard was named the Kobe Bryant MVP of all star game with 30 points and 8 3 point field goals made.  This new format actually made the game worth watching.  This entire NBA all star weekend was a fun weekend from the celebrity game where Stephen A Smith got a technical foul, to the dunk contest where Aaron Gordon was ROBBED again, and finally to the game that could have been the best all star game we have seen in a loooooong time.
