WWE NXT TAKEOVER PORTLAND RESULTS
WWE’s hottest brand in my opinion is NXT. They have better matches than both RAW and Smackdown live combined and it showed once again TONIGHT!
1st match of the night and arguably the best of the night, Keith Lee vs Dominik Dijakovic and this match did not disappoint at all. These heavyweights left everything in the ring and some of the moves they performed are NOT supposed to be performed by heavyweights. This was a four star match from beginning to end with the back and forth between eventually Keith Lee coming away with the victory.
Street Fight: Dakota Kai vs Tegan Nox
This match has been building for months now ever since Kai turned on her best friend at War Games. Nox would get the upper hand in this match and looked as if she was going to win until a woman came out of nowhere and tossed Nox from the top rope onto a table. That woman would turn out to be Raquel Gonzalez. She would help Dakota Kai get the victory over Nox. Good match and I like the fact that this rivalry continues with an added element in Gonzalez.
Finn Balor vs Johnny Gargano
These two meet for the first time ever and this match lived up to the build. Finn and Johnny pulled out everything they had to try and stop one another but eventually Finn would get the best of Johnny Wrestling.
NXT Women’s championship: Rhea Rhipley (c) vs Bianca Belair
This was a good back and forth match with Rhipley coming out victorious but the surprise of the night came win Charlotte Flair attacked Rhea after the match and announcing that she will face Rhea at wrestlemania for the the NXT women’s championship then as she walked out of the ring she would shove Belair into the steps and walk off.
NXT Tag team championships: The Broserweights vs Undisputed Era
This was one of those matches that you literally never wanted to end and no matter who won you would be happy with the outcome. In the end the broserweights would come out victorious ending the 3rd title reign of the undisputed era.
NXT Championship Tommaso Ciampa vs Adam Cole (c)
After a night of incredible matches sometimes the main event can disappoint but this one surely did not especially with Johnny Gargano getting involved and eventually costing Ciampa the championship.
I can’t wait to see what will happen this Wednesdahy on USA on NXT.
