In hopes of becoming more transparent, Netflix is going to start publishing a daily list of most popular shows and movies. There will be a top 10 list overall, and also a separate list of top ten films and top ten television shows. “Shows and films that make these lists will sport a red ‘Top 10’ badge wherever they appear on Netflix,” Business Insider explains. They add that they are doing this to both make it easier for viewers to pick what to watch, and also to provide greater clarity about their viewership.

Netflix has already trailed this feature in both Mexico and the UK. It will now be available in almost 100 countries, with subscribers able to see data from their specific country.
