What is coronavirus

Janko Ferlic

This corona virus talk is something serious and needs attention. If you haven’t heard about the virus and been living under a rock for the last couple months well I’m here to tell you that the corona virus is nothing to play about.

The corona virus originally started in Wuhan, China which typically originated from animals and quickly spread to Humans. Over the course of months there has been numerous corona virus cases that has killed at least 2,800 people worldwide and 82,000 global cases with infections. But that’s not all, Federal health officials have warned us that the corona virus will be coming to the United States.

At this point I know we are all thinking how can I prepare myself and others from this virus? Because I am trying to be as safe as I can and take the proper steps to not be infected.

Simply washing your hands for 20 seconds and getting rid of all those germs can go a LONG way! I also recommend getting a hold of face masks that can protect you from outside germs going around. Make sure to always cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing with a tissue or elbow sleeve. Clean areas around your house that are considered frequently touched surfaces like countertops and door knobs.

As parents we need to start thinking of the proper actions we need to take to protect our children. We know that places like schools, and daycare centers are areas where children are most likely exposed to bacteria. The same steps we are taking to be safe, are the same steps we need to practice with our own children, so that they know how to wash their hands properly and cover their coughs and sneezes.

These are just simple steps we can take to protect ourselves and children from this virus. that I recommend. Make sure you’re staying updated on the corona virus so you’ll be well informed and prepared.
