It looks like a local Walmart in Wadesboro, NC is said to be PERMANENTLY closing on April 3rd, 2020 without a word. This Walmart meant a lot to locals in the small town. The next closest Walmart locations would be either Rockingham, NC or Cheraw, SC, which both are a bit of a drive for those residents.
A lot of the locals are very shocked and saddened by this news because it turns out like this Walmart is the main store everybody in the town shops and receives their medication.
On top of all this Walmart is leaving HUNDREDS of people without a job. Walmart, you have to do better than this! This will leave employees with no jobs. There were rumors that some employees lost their jobs the exact same day they were informed of the closing. The question is where will these people go & where will locals go to get their necessities??
