Many Kids await the weekend`s arrival. No school, later bedtime, and unlimited fun with friends and family. But for this Charlotte 9- year old, that was not enough. After spending Saturdays bored in distress, Eli decided to start making lemonade.
Eli Leach is half of the creative team responsible for Eli`s Lemonade. He was also inspired by other young kids with their own lemonade brand such as Me & the bee`s lemonade and the Brown Boy Lemonade. This young entrepreneur set up shop at NoDa`s farmers Market with dad and business partner LaMor. “I’m more of the sales director and community engagement. Eli is the ambassador and public relations side”.
So what’s in the delicious drink that keeps people coming back? The recipe mix consists of triple-filtered water, pure cane sugar and lemons sourced from various parts of Florida. In Eli`s eyes that makes for “a lemonade that’s not too sweet and not too tart” AKA the perfect lemonade. From the farmers market lot to attending favorite festivals, this father son duo was able to secure a contract with Legends Hospitality, LLC. They manage food and beverage service at PNC Music Pavilion. A Short while after with a new partnership, the lemonades were made available on the shelves of Reid’s Fine Foods in Myers Park and SouthPark locations. In each location on average, they sell about a case per week.
The sky’s the limit when it comes to Eli`s Lemonade.Eli has expressed his excitement with this journey and has grown to understand certain aspects of operation as a lemonade business. Their future plans include a possible candy flavored lemonade for kids, and partnering with some of our favorite grocery stores such as Harris Teeter and Food Lion.
