Chrissy Lampkin & Jim Jones Become The Subject Of New COVID-19 Meme
Chrissy Lampkin and her longtime boyfriend, rapper Jim Jones are the subject of a new COVID-19 meme.
On Tuesday (May 12), Lampkin shared the meme on Instagram that read, “We gone be on lockdown until Jim Jones marry Chrissy.”
“Dis how y’all gone do me?” Lampkin wrote in the caption of her post alongside a myriad of laughing emojis. It seems as if the Love and Hip Hop: New York star didn’t take the meme too seriously and found humor in it, as did many fans.
As Lampkin and Jim Jones have displayed their relationship on national television via various reality TV shows over the years, including VH1’s Chrissy & Mr. Jones, whether or not Jones will actually marry Lampkin has become an ongoing conversation because Jones and Lampkin still aren’t married, even after Lampkin proposed to Jones during a previous episode of LHHNY, seven years ago.
Jones didn’t officially say yes to Lampkin. However, he simply said, “I’m with you.” Back in February, for the first time ever, Lampkin watched the episode of LHHNY from when she proposed to Jimmy.
“It was weird. I’m not in that space anymore. But that’s okay. I still love him. The love is still there but the importance of marriage I’ve put on the back burner because I think people need to be whole as individuals before they come together as a union,” Lampkin said.
“I think that a marriage is something that two people have to be ready for at the same time but at that moment when I asked him, did I expect to marry him right away? No, but did I expect to still be engaged to him seven years later? No, but it is what it is but it’s working for us. I’m not saying that marriage isn’t in the cards but it hasn’t been and that’s okay because we weren’t really ready. ” Check out the meme below.
