Looks like seniors in Union County will get to walk across the stage in front of family and friends. The Union County Schools Board of Education voted 5-4, to hold in-person graduations with all seniors and limited family members at each school’s outdoor stadium.
Even though social distancing guidelines would apply, the vote violates North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper’s current “Safer At Home” order which limits groups to 25 people.
Dates for the graduations have not been finalized at this time.
