We LOVE to eat and that’s half the problem sometimes. Ebony Elizabeth has a cool story and recipe to share with you.
Do I love cooking? Ummm…no, not so much. And though I’d be fine with canned tuna and club sandwiches…when my husband comes home he wants what he so affectionately refers to as “real food”. So, what’s a wife to do except browsing Pinterest for simple recipes with few ingredients that I know we’ll both love. Oh, and I found it, folks. I stumbled upon a lazy cook’s goldmine! A recipe that really caught my eye was something called “Crack Chicken”. Don’t ask me about the name, folks…I just stir the crockpot. But I will say the hubby found this dish incredibly addicting.
So here’s what you will need:
• Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
• Ranch seasoning mix
• Cream cheese
• Bacon bits
• Cheddar cheese
1. Add the chicken to the slow cooker and top with the ranch packet and cream cheese. That’s all you need to add at this point. Cover and cook on low for 7 hours and do not open the lid during the cooking time.
2. After the cooking time is up, shred the chicken with 2 forks. I do this right in the slow cooker, no need to remove the chicken and dirty a plate.
3. Add the cooked bacon then top with the cheddar cheese. Place the lid back on to let the cheese melt.
Serve on hamburger buns or with mashed potatoes. Bon appetit!
