Atlanta-base rapper Rudolph Johnson, also known as Lil Marlo, was shot and killed over the weekend. According to TMZ, police received a call about a car accident on Interstate 285 in Atlanta, and when they arrived, Marlo had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The outlet states, “The investigation so far points to Lil Marlo being shot while he was driving. At this time, investigators believe the victim was the intended target of the gunfire and they are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.”

Lil Marlo, 30, was signed to the Quality Control label, which is also home for other notable artists, including Migos, Lil Yachty, Lil Baby, and City Girls. Lil Yachty even wrote on Instagram that the pair had just done a song that morning before he passed.

Since the news of Lil Marlo’s death went public, some of his label mates and many fans have gone to Twitter to honor him.
