Mecklenburg County Senior Citizens Get FREE COVID-19 Home Disinfecting
COVID-19 is forcing Americans to keep a clean house. In fact, having a clean house could be life-saving. That’s why the Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services is helping senior citizens get their homes clean. DSS is offering a FREE one-time COVID-19 professional disinfecting service to residents who are 60 years of age or older.
DSS is partnering with a professional disinfecting service to do the work. They use approved chemicals to clean all surfaces, doorknobs, handles, light switches, and high traffic areas of the home. The chemical is safe for pets and children.
In order to qualify, participants must be:
- A resident of Mecklenburg County
- 60 years of age or older
- Able to leave their home for about three hours while services are rendered
