The Greater Rochester International Airport is being renamed after Frederick Douglass.

A petition that gathered 5,000 signatures was circulated in July to rename the airport to pay homage to the author and civil rights leader.  The airport will now be called Frederick Douglass-Greater Rochester International Airport.  There will also be historical material about Douglass in places around the airport.
