Ok I must admit that I was one of the people that didn't want to watch this show because to me Power isn't Power without Ghost. Even though I didn't want to like the show I must admit after watching the show I definitely like it and I'm even starting to like the character that Tariq is portraying and the main I'm watching the show because the main characters are black but that's another discussion, back to the show. I like that Tariq has to wear so many hats in this season. He's learning everything on the fly because his mom is in jail and everyone knows what happened to his dad. He now has love interests and the way that they are going about approaching him has a pretty dope twist too with one of the girls already having a boyfriend and the other girl who is interested in him being sent to spy on him by his mother. He has to wear many hats this season, student, drug dealer, teenager, and gangster.
I like the majority of the new characters this season although honestly I'm probably in the minority on this one but I don't like Method Man and Mary J Blige simply for the roles they're playing. I've seen both of them act and they've done good jobs but the characters they're playing on this season doesn't fit them in my opinion. Mary's role as a queen pen should have been given to someone else. She's not believable as this character to me I can't speak for anyone else. Whenever she speaks I want to laugh, even when she's fussing at her children I want to laugh.
My favorite characters so far are big Zeke and Cnin. Zeke is just funny he's the typical sports jock and his character is believable. He gets the girls and he even got his professor that he had been eyeing for the longest time. I like Cain because he is a no non sense kind of guy that doesn't play especially when it comes to his family. I feel like he will be the wild card that makes a HUGE mistake later on in the show.
