YALL DID THAT!!!  Yesterday was day 1 of early voting in North Carolina and y’all showed up and showed out.  According to the North Carolina State Board of Elections, as of 5:30pm almost 230,000 ballots were cast.  Back in 2016, only 166,000 ballot were cast on day 1.  Way To Go Nosey Neighbors!

I was in the number.  I went to early vote at Hickory Grove Elementary and only had to wait in line for about 20 mins.  The process was very easy…until the end.  After I cast my ballot, I immediately went looking for my “I Voted” sticker.  I was quickly informed that due to COVID, they were not giving them out this year.  Instead, voters received ink pens.  I DON’T WANT NO INK PEN!  I wanted my sticker to complete my voting outfit.  (yes, I had a voting outfit). Nonetheless, I took my pen and felt accomplished.  I did my part and voted in the 2020 Election.

If you didn’t make it to the polls yesterday, don’t worry.  Early voting ends on October 31st so you still have time.  Click your county, Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Union, or Catawba for a complete list of early voting sites.
