Hi, I’m Burpie

Before this pandemic hit there wasn't one weekend where I wasn't on the road performing at a comedy club, college, or venue doing stand up comedy somewhere.  Times are definitely different now and those venues are changing how they provide entertainment to people for the time being.  Some venues are doing shows outside at their venue, or they're finding other places to do the show.  Just recently, I've done 2 shows in baseball stadiums in hickory and columbia, SC.  Even thought the venues have been changing one thing remains the same, I prepare for each show the same way I have been doing for over the last 10+ years.

I'm not a superstitious person but I do the same thing while I'm  waiting back stage or in the green room before I go on stage I do a few things.

  1. Pray
  2. Eat at least 2 hours before show
  3. Take a look at the crowd to gauge the room and see what they like and dislike as far as jokes.

If you want to see how I put those things into action you can go to my social media pages (@IAmBurpie) where you can see where my next show will.
