ROVANIEMI, FINLAND - DECEMBER 21: Santa Claus takes a call on his mobile phone as he waits for visitors at Santa Claus Village on the Arctic Circle near Rovaniemi, Finland on December 21, 2002. Santa Claus village attracts 480,000 visitors a year, 80 per cent of whom are adults. (Photo by Tony Lewis/Getty Images)

One of the many things I knew would be completely different if it even happened due to COVID, was kids getting the opportunity to see Santa.

My youngest son is 4 and he is really into Santa. I honestly didn’t think he would be able to see Santa, but Cabellas has figured a way to do things this year contactless. I am super excited about this.

Cabella’s is located in Fort Mill at 1000 Cabella Drive and Bass Pro Shop is in Concord Mills. Here are a few things that will be in place.

  • Reserve a time in advance
  • A glare-free plexiglass barrier is in place to distance Santa from families
  • Families will wait in a designated area
  • Elves will clean surfaces between visits
  • Team members in the store will wear face coverings
  • Since in-store crafts will not happen, there will be a free take-home craft
