This year, you can expect online and in-store sales from major retailers the entire month of November. In fact, new sales are launching every few days. Note that many of these earlier events may not offer all of a retailer’s Black Friday deals and that some retailers will make you wait until Thanksgiving week itself to shop all their best deals.

The dates below are “start” dates for each sale. Some events run multiple days.

NOV. 4

  • 7 p.m. ET: Walmart Black Friday Deals for Days event No. 1 (round 1) starts (online only).
  • All day: Macy’s Early Access Black Friday event (runs through Nov. 9).

NOV. 6

  • All day: Kohl’s Black Friday Preview sale is a one-day only event. However, Kohl’s will be releasing additional deals online and in store on Nov. 7 to 10.

NOV. 7

  • 12 a.m. ET: Walmart Black Friday Deals for Days event No. 1 (round 2) starts (online only).
  • 5 a.m. local time: Walmart doors open.

NOV. 8

  • All day: Home Depot Black Friday deals begin online and in stores (through Dec. 2).
  • All day: Target Black Friday Now event No. 2 starts (through Nov. 14).

NOV. 11

  • 7 p.m. ET: Walmart Black Friday Deals for Days event No. 2 (round 1) starts (online only).

NOV. 14

  • 12 a.m. ET: Walmart Black Friday Deals for Days event No. 2 (round 2) starts (online only).
  • 5 a.m. local time: Walmart doors open.

NOV. 15

  • All day: Target Black Friday Now event No. 3 starts (through Nov. 21).

NOV. 16

  • All day: Macy’s Black Friday Preview event (runs through Nov. 23).
  • All day: Select Best Buy Black Friday deals available to My Best Buy members only.

Nov. 19

  • All day: Select deals from Lowe’s go live (online and in stores).

NOV. 20

  • All day: Sam’s Club Thanks-Savings sale (runs through Nov. 29).

  • All day: Best Buy Black Friday sale (online and in stores; runs through Nov. 27).
  • All day: Target Black Friday Now event No. 4 starts (through Nov. 28).

  • 12:01 a.m. CT: Kohl’s Black Friday deals start online (through Nov. 27).

NOV. 24

  • All day: Macy’s Black Friday sale (online and in stores; runs through Nov. 28).

NOV. 27

  • All day: Costco Black Friday deals available online and in stores (through Nov. 30).
  • 12 a.m. ET: Walmart Black Friday Deals for Days event No. 3 (round 2) starts (online only).
  • 5 a.m. local time: Walmart, JCPenney, Best Buy, Kohl’s doors open.
  • 6 a.m. local time: Lowe’s, Home Depot doors open.

Best Buy Black Friday start time

Best Buy has what’s perhaps the longest Black Friday sale this year. It launched its first official Black Friday deals in mid-October (during Prime Day) and is rolling out more as November advances. Select Black Friday deals will be available on the following dates:

  • Wish List Sale: Nov. 5 to 8.
  • Treat Yourself Sale: Nov. 11.
  • Coolest Deals Sale: Nov. 12 to 14.
  • Early Access Black Friday Sale for My Best Buy members only: Nov. 16 to 17.
  • Nearly all Black Friday deals become available: Nov. 22.

Costco Black Friday start time

Costco is running its November Holiday Savings deals all month long. It doesn’t use the term “Black Friday” to describe these deals, but those shopping in a Black Friday time frame have the following options:

  • Deals go live online and in stores: Nov. 20 to 30.
  • New deals (online only): Nov. 26.
  • Additional deals online and in stores: Nov. 27 to 30.

Home Depot Black Friday start time

Home Depot is keeping things simple this year by offering Black Friday pricing from Nov. 8 to Dec. 2. Discounted items include tools, home security tech and a huge selection of holiday decor.

JCPenney Black Friday start time

JCPenney is having what’s perhaps one of the more traditional Black Friday sales events this year. Deals run Nov. 25 to 28 online and in stores (although stores are closed on Thanksgiving).

Kohl’s Black Friday start time

Kohl’s revealed its Black Friday sale schedule:

  • Nov. 22: Deals begin online at 12:01 a.m. CT online and 8 a.m. in stores (and run through Nov. 27).
  • Nov. 26: Super Deals begin 12:01 a.m. CT online (and run through Nov. 27, while supplies last).
  • Nov. 27: Super Deals begin in stores at 5 a.m.

Macy’s Black Friday start time

Macy’s is running various sales events through the month of November, culminating in its Black Friday sale. During those earlier sales, various deals from its Black Friday ad will go live. Other deals will be previewable, so you can save them for later.

Black Friday early access event: Nov. 4 to 9. Select Black Friday deals go live during Veterans Day sale: Nov. 11 to 12. Most Black Friday deals begin: Nov. 16 to 30. Black Friday sale: Nov. 24 to 28.

Sam’s Club Black Friday start time

Sam’s Club is calling its Black Friday weekend sale the Thanks-Savings event. It runs Nov. 20 to 29. You’ll find TVs, robotic vacuums, home theater equipment, laptops and more marked down.

Target Black Friday start time

Target is rolling out what it’s calling Black Friday Now, with new deals released every Sunday. Each batch of deals runs through the week, until Saturday. Here’s the schedule (this event is already ongoing):

  • Nov. 1 to 7: Electronics.
  • Nov. 8 to 14: Kitchen and floorcare.
  • Nov. 15 to 21: Electronics, apparel and beauty.
  • Nov. 22 to 28: The Black Friday sale with savings on toys, kitchen, floorcare, electronics, video games and select consoles.

Walmart Black Friday start time

Walmart is running three events:

  • Event 1: Nov. 4 to 8
  • Event 2: Nov. 11 to 15
  • Event 3: Nov 25 to 27

Various deals will launch at different times online and in stores. Shoppers can expect deals on electronics, TVs, home goods, clothing and toys.
