Today we celebrate the Life and Legacy of Kobe Bryant. Often referred to as one of the greatest NBA players, Kobe Bryant played with the Los Angeles Lakers for 20 seasons and retired in 2016.

Today, January 26th, marks 1 year since Kobe was tragically killed in a helicopter crash near Los Angeles along with 8 other passengers including his daughter, Gianna Bryant, John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Christina Mauser, Sarah Chester, Payton Chester, and the pilot Ara Zobayan.

Kobe not only left us with great basketball memories, he also gave fans some inspiring words of wisdom.  Check out some of my favorite Kobe Bryant quotes.

"Dedication sees dreams come true."

“If you want to be great at something, there’s a choice you have to make. What I mean by that is, there are inherent sacrifices that come along with that. Family time, hanging out with friends, being a great friend, being a great son, nephew, whatever the case may be.”

“The most important thing is you must put everybody on notice that you’re here and you are for real.”

“It’s the one thing you can control. You are responsible for how people remember you—or don’t. So don’t take it lightly.”

“We can always kind of be average and do what’s normal. I’m not in this to do what’s normal.”
