We were hearing all kinds of hashtags about “Stop Asian Hate”  on Twitter and other various social media platforms after the mass shootings in Atlanta that resulted in the death of several Asian women. Tragically, eight people died in the violence that occurred at three massage parlors Police ended up arresting twenty-one year old Robert Aaron Long in connection to the shootings. The motive? The suspect had a sexual addiction and saw the businesses as a temptation he needed to get rid of.

The moral to this blog is, people have been desensitized. Humans are conditioned to not care, and ignore the abuse of African Americans for too many years. I’m curious to see how the verdict comes back for George Floyds assassination in the middle of the street by a police officers knee. Another curiosity is why are there at least 1,000 assassination’s of African Americans a year by police officers? As mentioned, nobody cares if the murders don’t involve your race.
