Mecklenburg Public Health Director Gibbie Harris announced Tuesday that the COVID-19 mass vaccination site at Bojangles Coliseum will be closing on May 22nd. This news comes as supplies of the vaccine across the country are continuously increasing. Appointments are readily available for those who want them and with many places accepting walk-ins.

“We feel like it’s time for the Bojangles Coliseum site to close down,” Harris stated last night.

Bojangles Coliseum is taking walk-in’s for first and second doses through May 22. Hours this week are Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The last chance to book an appointment at the Bojangles Coliseum site opened at 8:30 a.m. this morning. People can schedule online or call 980-314-9400 (option 3 for English and option 8 for Spanish).
