Big news for North Carolinians! Governor Roy Cooper announced that he plans on lifting most COVID-19 restrictions by June 1st. According to the governor, he plans on lifting the social distancing and mass gathering restrictions. However, the mask mandate will remain in effect. Our current executive order expires on April 30th, so Governor Cooper will make another one outlining the safety restrictions through the month of May.
Governor Cooper is still encouraging residents to get vaccinated. Currently, 6.5 million vaccines have been administered in North Carolina. 46% of adults are partially vaccinated and 35% are fully vaccinated.
