We have another North Carolina lottery winner! A North Carolina man has won a $1 million prize after stopping at a gas station. Duane Zastrow of Clayton, NC recently purchased a $30 Millionaire Maker ticket.

North Carolina lottery officials report that the ticket was purchased at the Sandhu's Gas Station on Amelia Church Road in Clayton. Clayton is in Johnston Country which is southeast of Raleigh.

Zastrow opted to take the $1 million in the form of a lump sum. He had the option to receive $50,000 a year over 20 years or the lump sum of $600,000. He chose the lump sum and took home $424,509 after taxes.

That's not a bad payday for stopping to get gas.
