Coco Austin has now entered the latest celeb bathing debate as she reveals she only showers when she feels “icky.”
Austin sat down with E!’s Daily Pop on her bathing routine, “Well, I don’t shower every day,” Coco said matter-of-factly. “I do what’s needed. My hair—I wash my hair every four days. Yeah, but when I’m feeling icky, I’ll get in the shower. Whether that’s every day, that may be, but that could be every three days. I kinda keep myself clean, though. Like, if I feel like my pits smell or something, I just take some washcloths and some soap to it. I might not have to clean my whole body.”
Austin joins Kristen Bell, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jason Mamoa, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, and who have also weighed in on their bathing routine.
“The Rock” shared his shower regimen on Twitter, “Shower (cold) when I roll outta bed to get my day rollin’. Shower (warm) after my workout before work. Shower (hot) after I get home from work. Face wash, body wash, exfoliate and I sing (off key) in the shower.”
Nope, I’m the opposite of a “not washing themselves” celeb.— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) August 7, 2021
Shower (cold) when I roll outta bed to get my day rollin’.
Shower (warm) after my workout before work.
Shower (hot) after I get home from work.
Face wash, body wash, exfoliate and I sing (off key) in the shower 🧼 🎶 https://t.co/iE6ZPhrthL
Do you think it’s necessary to shower every day or do these celebs have a point?
Check out what fans had to say about showering:
If you’re (generally speaking) not getting sweaty and grimy daily, it’s unnecessary to shower daily. Showering daily strips the body/hair of its natural oils causing dryness. It’s the facts🤷🏻♀️ BUT it’s YOUR body, do as YOU please. (Again, generally speaking)😊— L.C. (@3churchkidz03) August 9, 2021
The not bathing/showering thing grosses me out! I shower 2x a day (sometimes more if I'm working out or sweating outside working).— Brandy Green (@MissBrandyGreen) August 8, 2021
Please, people. Be like The Rock. Don't be a stinky.
When you smell what The Rock is cooking it’s not stanky pic.twitter.com/JykouMbKwj— Qondi 💛 🐝 🇺🇸🇿🇦🇿🇼 (@QondiNtini) August 7, 2021
This seems reasonable 👍— Peter A. Pinto (@peterApinto) August 9, 2021
My question for Ashton Kutcher, Kristen Bell, Jake Gyllenhaal et al would be:
Do you guys even work out? Because if you do, and you don’t bathe regularly? 😳
Apparently Jake Gyllenhaal doesn’t believe in bathing after a workout… 🤢 pic.twitter.com/lmTkJvZXr5— I❤️Tulips (@RainbowTulip) August 9, 2021
I think it's strange some celebrities are encouraging not showering - in the time of Pandemic, especially. I haven't gotten cold or flu in years because even pre-pandemic if I had to go somewhere public I sanitized like a mf, avoided ppl who cough/etc, & showered when I got home.— Døctor Eros Xcelsior // MVP (@ThaBomb_dotcom) August 8, 2021
🤣🤣🤣 Awesome and 100% sanely human. I shower at least twice a day. If I only get to take one shower, it has to be in the evening, after I come home, because no matter how much I love myself, and I do, I am the last one who cares to inhale his own b.o.— Pete-Always Pay It Forward 🌞🌛🌟🌈 (@Pete81891829) August 7, 2021
