I would be remiss if not mentioning National Radio Day!!! Time flies when you’re having fun and getting paid to do so was a plus! Mid 90’s in radio was extremely fun and memorable years for me, but I bet the 80’s in broadcasting was even more thrilling. My days were big extravagant dinners with record labels, free trips and parking lot barbeques! Since then most of my colleagues have moved on from the radio world into something total opposite. Talk radio was a dream come true for me, considering I would carry around a tape recorder in grade school, and Friday nights consisted of locking myself in the bedroom to play like an actress, DJ and talk show for hours on end as I recorded my ridiculous banter on that old tape reorder. The only reason I locked the door was because I was extremely shy, but now I’m loud, proud and full of soundbites!

Looking back at those days when cassette tape recorders and reel-to-reel tapes were the only way of transferring voices, seems ancient. Only regrets is not keeping those cassettes so I can bug my kids to listen to in 2021. Well, although that bean footage is gone the memory is still alive. Smooches and happy National Radio Day!
