Parents and students at a Union County high school have questions after a picture began circulating on social media.  The image shows a sign that read “White” sitting on a water fountain.

After receiving numerous calls, the principal at Piedmont High School sent out a message to parents saying, “During practice, a cheer sign was left just outside the gym on the floor, and it was picked up and placed on a water fountain.  We have investigated this matter and concluded that the placement was not intentional.”  He finished the message by apologizing to anyone that might have been offended by the incident.  While some accepted the apology, some did not and feel like the incident was indeed intentional.
