Even after she said she was assaulted, the accused student who was charged with ttempted second-degree rape, second-degree kidnapping, and sexual battery, was allowed to play in the teams football game later on that week.
Happening Now: well over 100 Olympic High School students are protesting outside of the school. This comes after a girl reported she was sexually assaulted at Olympic High School in Charlotte a couple of weeks ago. CMPD Launched an investigation and charged a 15 yo pic.twitter.com/Rbnw1WFmoo

Students say there was an assembly Friday morning before the protest, where staff talked about Title IX reporting and sexual assault.
According to CMS, Title IX lessons are required to be taught in all’s schools within the first 20 days of school.
According to WBTV this is not an isolated issue and sexual assault needs to be addressed on all campuses starting with information and accountability.
